I’ll tell you a few words about my favourite play by Shakespeare. It is ‘Hamlet’.

My favourite book

‘Hamlet’ is one of Shakespeare’s greatest creations. It is also considered the hardest of his works to understand. Some critics call it obscure and even mysterious. Many different interpretations of this play exist. The source of the plot can be found in a Danish chronicle written about 1200. When we first see Hamlet he is grieved by the death of his father and shocked for Claudius. Hamlet sincerely wants to kill Claudius. This is a natural course of action for a tragic hero. But Hamlet delays. He slew Claudius only when he was poisoned himself. The name of Hamlet is often used to describe contradictory and indecisive people.
